ANTALYA, Türkiye — 8 October 2026 — At the 77th International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2026), STAR.VISION rolled out DeepMiner, an AI-powered platform designed to revolutionize mineral exploration using space-based observation. Developed in collaboration with StrikOre, DeepMiner was announced to an international audience comprising space agencies, industry leaders, and researchers.
DeepMiner Launch Event
Mineral exploration has long been hindered by two persistent challenges: the fragmentation and inconsistency of data across maps, reports, and agencies, and the enormous costs associated with extensive field exploration. DeepMiner alleviates the burden of manual data cleaning and preliminary field studies by leveraging high-resolution satellite imagery. Through advanced image processing, the platform provides clear subsurface insights, identifies areas with mineral potential, and pinpoints precise locations for on-site verification.
Built on multi-source satellite imagery, DeepMiner integrates regional terrain, stratigraphy, lithology, structural divisions, and known mineral occurrences into a single workspace. With built-in location search and AI-assisted analysis, the platform moves beyond keeping data in separate layers. Instead, it ties observation directly to geological knowledge and specific tasks, ensuring that desk reviews and fieldwork reinforce each other rather than running in parallel.
The live demonstration featured Oman as a case study. Starting from a global 3D view, delegates zoomed into target regions, stepping through imagery, elevation, and geological layers to assess prospectivity in real time.
Observing Earth from orbit, then acting on the ground—this is the core of what STAR.VISION does.
