On April 24th, in Shanghai, China, the China National Space Administration (CNSA) announced the China Deep Space Exploration Mission Cooperation Project, including CHERI (Chang'e-8 Smart Lunar Exploration Robots Project)—a groundbreaking lunar exploration initiative. STAR.VISION is proud to confirm its role as a partner, jointly developing this mission with Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University (Turkey) and Zhejiang University (China).
Three Groundbreaking Firsts:
Breaking Institutional Barriers: First private-sector entrustment in China’s lunar exploration program
Collaborative Operation: First robotic collaborative operation on the lunar surface
Deploying AI on the Moon: First deployment of intelligent agents on the lunar surface
Following the announcement of China Deep Space Exploration Mission Cooperation Project, STAR.VISION CEO Wen Zhuoming, Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University (METU) President Ahmet Yozgatlıgil, and Zhejiang University (ZJU) Vice President Chen Gang formally signed a joint agreement.
The partnership aims to co-develop CHERI (Chang'e-8 Smart Lunar Exploration Robots Project)—the world’s first AI-driven lunar robots, merging cutting-edge robotics, AI, and space engineering to advance lunar and deep-space exploration.
Beyond a mission—it’s a leap toward global, sustainable space exploration. Together, we’re redefining how humanity explores and utilizes celestial resources.
